This section contains paintings that deal with events or people that have interested me.   When I realized that my 20 year old nieces knew nothing about the Birmingham Church bombing in 1963,  I knew that I had to paint I’ll Fly Away.   The portrait of J.Edgar Hoover showing his rumored  private life, was payback for Hoover’s cruelty towards Martin Luther King and Melvin Purvis.   I wanted to pay tribute to both Eleanor Roosevelt and Marian Anderson in To Rise Above.   And I had to get Sigmund Freud to lighten up a bit.  If you see any paintings that interest you  please go to my Contact page.
