When Marian Anderson was denied a concert in Washington in 1939 because she was Black, Eleanor Roosevelt arranged another on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. A proud moment in our history when we all rose above with them. This painting just chosen by Presidnt Carter for this Carter Center in Atlanta.
